The entire course was carved out of a 45 year old forest removing only the necessary trees and vegetation to create a challenging but fair test of your golf game. All of the holes are designed with tight fairways and planned increased fairway width when required. The greens are all bent grasses (L93-Penn Cross-G1). The fairways are blue grass with a special blend of five different dwarf species formulated for this are and planted with rye to provide needed root base. Each of the holes was designed to protect all golfers from errant shots on the adjacent holes by leaving strategic tree lines between each hole.

#1 Par 4, 323 Yards

This starting hole is one of the easiest holes on the course designed with the concept of the first three holes being the least challenging while you are starting your round. This hole starts out with a small ravine about 60 yards off the tee and then rises to an elongated green with a pond on the left side of the fairway some 100 yards from the green. The fairway opens up to the right which favors the right handed players that have a tendency to slice.

#2 Par 3, 132 Yards

The hole is a slight uphill hole with a pine tree on the left side and a severely crowned green with a collection area around the back side. The design of this hole is very similar to all Donald Ross courses and was included in our design as a tribute to him.

#3 Par 4, 303 Yards

This hole, by design, is the last of the first three holes to provide the player with a chance to warm up before facing the more challenging final six holes. This hole doglegs slightly right on the second shot to an elevated green that runs laterally from left to right.

#4 Par 5, 469 Yards

This hole is the first of the two par five holes and starts in a chute for the first 100 yards providing one of the most scenic views on the golf course. After the first 150 yards, the fairway slopes downhill to a very large and highly contoured green where you could have a 100 foot putt.

#5 Par 4, 267 Yards

This hole was designed similar to the holes in Europe. The tee shot is blind with a fairway directional flag showing the recommended route. An extremely risk/reward type hole with a green that is long and narrow built on the contour of the fairway. You must trust the yardage and your swing on this hold.

#6 Par 3, 145 Yards

This hole may have the most spectacular view on the golf course and could be the signature hole. The tee is highly elevated and you must cross a small stream and wetland area to a green that is dead flat and shaped like the State of Ohio.

#7 Par 4, 425 Yards

Because the elevation changes within the 425 yards, this is the most difficult hole on the course for shooting par. The tee shot is uphill and the long second shot must carry a deep ravine to reach a stadium style green (similar to Nicklaus design) with a large drop from back right to front left.

#8 Par 5, 529 Yards

This hole is the longest hole on the course and has a slight double dogleg from right to left. A deep ravine faces you on your third shot to a long narrow green. You could face a putt exceeding 100 feet in length. There is water left and right that does not normally come into play except for errant shots.

#9 Par 4, 339 Yards

From the tee on this hole you cannot see the lake that guards the entire entrance to this green. The ideal tee shot is around 210 yards to a plateau that leaves you with a level and flat lie. The green is built on the back side of the lake with a small bailout area with trees on the extreme left side.
